Road Tires for my Mountain Bike

I'd like to convert my mountain bike into a road bike for now. I'd like to eventually have two set of wheels and tires so I can switch out on the quick, but for now, I do most of my biking in town. I'm not quite ready to buy a whole new bicycle yet, so I think a tire change is in order. My tire size is 29x1.95. What would you folks recommend for some nice road tires in this size. I tried looking around on the internet and found something called balloonbike tires by a company called Big Apple, but the measurements are a little off. Does this make a big difference? Like, would 29x2.15 fit on mine or do the measurements have to be exact?

Look at the tires on your bike. Check everywhere they could possibly touch the frame, even on the top of the tire. If you have 1/4" clearance all around the tire, all the way around the tire, they will fit.

I like MIchelin Commuters. 1.5's Fast and smooth with rain guttering to stay a little more stable when wet.

Schwalbe make the Big Apple, nice tire, if your current bike has a 29x1.95, a 29x2.0 will fit fine https://www.schwalbetires.com/node/3858

My wife and I both have Continental "Tour RIDES" on our MTBs to use for use along terrain such as the C&O Canal (fairly flat dirt/gravel) and asphalt. These tires are very close to those of a road bike tire in terms of wideness. They roll very well and I wanna say I'm actually faster on my MTB with these tires than what I am on my road bike. They are also puncture-resistant, which is a definite plus!

We paid $35/tire for them and they are money well spent. I have nothing but positive things to say about these tires.

I use City Slicker's and they are great. Cheap and roll fast with good grip.
