The bikes are all overpriced. The Specialized is harder to price -- would need an accurate parts spec to tell for sure. The entry-level Hardrock 29's are about $600 new.

Those poster sure are good salemen! Sheesh, pricy indeed. Iron Horse has always been a solid name. I like that Hardtail, at about $600 most. Probably more like $450.

Which to buy?
Are any of these worth the money? Wanting a specialized hardrock, but if there is something better for the same price or even lower, than I will be all over that!

The SC has the most accurate price. A chameleon is a bit different from the two XC bikes -- a bit slacker, more travel.
The IH should be closer to $400.
Again, the Spec can be had new for $580 -- the Reba does not make it worth $800 IMO.

A good place to cross reference bikes would be www.bikepedia.com. Most bikes on there will list the MSRP. General rule of them, is paying half or less of the original MSRP.

I like underdogs! Specialized is solid and supports community rides around here so I should show em some love, but I can't.
