Pic's of the Trails on South Mountain just south of Phoenix, AZ

I always like to know what the Trail conditions are before I travel to a distant place. Here are some Pics I took on our June Trip to the Desert southwest. More pictures on my Profile Page, Albums.

Awesome pictures of a great area. I grew up at the foot of South Mountains and 7th Ave. We rode our Paperboy Specials and Sting Rays all over the place. We had our army surplus canteens and a couple dimes. There was a place called Scorpion Gulch where we bought 12oz. bottles of Mountain Dew and Pepsi for.10. That was in the 60's - 70's. In the summer our moms kicked us out of the house at 8am and didn't let us back in til noon. Congrats on a good trip to a great Bike Mecca!

I learned to mountain bike at South Mountain. I haven't been back there in a long time. There is plenty of nice riding around Las Vegas but it doesn't compare to Phoenix.

Sounds like a good excuse to visit family (or vice versa).
