Election of new wheels with v-brake compatibility

Hello,

I'm looking for a new wheels and i like to receive some recomendations because i don't know the market very well now. The conditions are:

- Rings for v-brake
- Normal spokes (not any brand particular model)
- Hubs without disck brake compatibility.
- 26 wheel size

I'm looking in the online shops but i can't see a lot of offer for v-brake compatibility, for these reason, i think that i can buy a good ones.

Thanks!

Look used. Pretty much everyone wants disc brake compatibility now (along with 29" or 650b), so these types of wheels go pretty cheap.

what ^^^^ said. people are pertty much giving away "obsolete" stuff, including really nice high end stuff. take advantage of the fact that you prefer to roll retro gear.

Some of the online superstores have a filtering option in your search to narrow it down to rim-brake-compatible wheelsets. Pricepoint has this and there were a couple of sturdy options for just a touch over $100.

If you're in a populated area, You might want to try a Wanted To Buy ad in CL. A lot of guys have stuff hanging around that they might be willing to part with. Mavic 517s were one of the better wheels back then, maybe you can score a set. Also Mavic 225s were on OK wheelset.
