    Please use a descriptive title

Can you free-ride uphill? Man this is getting way to complicated! I'm thinking that you might have to walk uphill in-order to be "free-of-the-ride" so to speak. What about girls? Are they allowed to participate?

If you don't get it, maybe you're not drinking enough Mountain Dew!

Girls must be allowed to participate since the magazine ads seem to feature them a lot!

As far as I can tell, 'Freeride' is just a marketing buzzword! People felt free on bikes long before before Freeride bikes came out.

I think the idea is all about budget downhilling..... With granny gears on a dh rig you can ride up, htus avoiding charge for the skilift. this makes it indeed a free-ride....

freeriding just means riding on alll types of terrain, up or down hills, urban riding , whatever. Its riding without boundries....finding new lines and traversing obsacles. its whatever you make of it.
