Well here are my new pedals that came in from Performance Bike in the US of A today. They said shipping would take 4-8 weeks and it will be 4 weeks tomorrow since i placed the order so i am very happy.
Why 'Thanks Bikeforums!' ? I bought these pedals with a voucher i won right here on the forums. And the total price of shipping and the price of the pedals came to $50 which was how much the voucher was for. So i got a brand new pair of pedals for $1.80- the price it cost to airmail my order to Performance Bike.
The Pedals are Performance Stomp Platform Pedals and so far i am very happy with them- very grippy- although i haven't hit the trails with them yet. They come with replaceable pins and have sealed bearings.
Enough talk, here are the pics:

nice pedals anthonaut!
I have had good experiences with Forte products so far. The items seem to be well made and are fairly cheap for what you get.

You're right, they are very good quality pedals and they are a lot lighter than i thought- yet very strongly built.
