    New Vee Rubber first ride

OK, so I bought me a pair of Vee Rubber tires light nice looking and light tubes from Pricepoint $7 per tire not bad. The knobbies are not very large deep what ever may not be the best off road NWNJ mud tire but they work great on the road. Price was right. Hard pack they will fly....I may need to change out for monster grip come spring.
But for $7 I took off a bunch of weight had old school smokes. Good solid heavy tire grippy.

Vee is an interesting company. They're getting a bit more prominence now that Jim Wannamaker (formerly with Kenda) is at the marketing helm.

Some of the tire designs are intriguing, not enough to get me off of my holy rollers, but intrigued none the less.

I'm not impressed by them. I was given a pair of my choice (Missions) to test and I found that the knobs were really low profile--the pics on their site made them look larger/standard sized but they were not. The tires' widths are much narrower than spec'd--a 2.2 is barely 2.0 and a 1.95 is more like a 1.8. I also found a couple knobs that were broken hollow bubbles, not solid rubber. They appeared so sketchy, I only mounted one and then took it off without even riding them for fear of eating it in the corners. I didn't even give them to a friend who was broke but in need of tires.
