Finding the right rear derailleur hanger

Hi, I fix bikes as a hobby and I typically work on older road bikes, as I live in the city and thats what people want down here. So every now and then I get a mountain bike to fix and sell and I have this Northrock XC6, which my understanding is a $300 entry level bike from cosco. Anyway, it is missing the rear derailleur AND hanger, and I wanted to know how to find the right hanger. I have attacked a picture of the space where it fits. I also was wondering if I read that it had a shimano acera detailleur, are there different kinds of acera, or can I be confident this will do the trick.

If you can't find what you want, contact them and send some photos.

Regarding the deraileur, do you have Shimano shifters?

North Rock is not in their list of manufacturers, edit: I suppose I will give them a call tomorrow, thank you for the help

    The shifters are shimano

Not all manufacturers would be listed.

If you look in the 1 fastener hangers, there's one hanger that look like it might fit, the # 25 hanger.

You might have to get a pencil and some paper, trace around both sides of the the dropout, scan the drawings and send them to Wheels Mfg to see if they have a hanger that'll fit.

That deraileur will work if you can find a deraileur hanger and your Shimano shifter isn't 10 speed.

#52 also looks like it would fit, but looks identical to 25. Those two are by far the best looking fit so if a hanger exists for it, I think theres a good chance thats it, right?

I'd say there's a good chance that # 25 or # 52 would work, they do look the same but there must be some small difference between the 2.

Probably be a good idea to contact the derailleur hanger company and see what they have to say.

looks like a #52 would fit. I think the curve is a little different between the two. Looks like there was a #25 on there, but you can see the part where it is "white" from the rub doesn't exactly match up with the cutout. I'd still call to check with them to be safe though.
