Haro Flightline 29 One
Here's the specs.....
Haro Bikes - MTB - Bikes - Flightline 29 - Flightline 29 One
I'm about to help a graduating high school senior buy his first non-department store bike. He comes from limited means, has never had his own bike, but wants a mountain bike. We have $400-$500 to spend out the door. Am reluctant to do it online as we dunno his size exactly (he's 6ft).
Besides cost the constraints are this bike will also be basic transportation and in our low income area avoiding conspicuous flash is a good thing.
Time is of the essence here and I'd like to see him on a bike by next week.
I seen one in white in a LBS and it looked like just the ticket,
Rim brakes I know, and low end fork I know but the bike feels light and I'll bet he could still have a blast on one of these as an entry-level mountain bike. I know I could but then I go all the way back to the eighties on mountain bikes when even this bike woulda been a wonder
Besides riding to work and such, could he bounce this thing around on moderate trails without breaking it?
All thoughts appreciated.
Mike
