Sign My Petition --- Keep Us Riding

For the 2005 season Whiteface mountain has decided to cut off mountain biking. This is very dissapointing because this is one of the up and coming mountains in the downhill world. Mike, the person who runs downhilling in the summer, was planning on having a race series. It would be a shame to see such a good mountain go to waste. If you would like to help us out you can send e-mail's to jrand@whiteface.com and you can sign our petition http://www.petitiononline.com/Downhill/petition.html
~Thanks, Chase Williams

I have skied there before, it's probably a great mountain to ride bikes on, too. I signed.

Pro tip: You should at least get rid of the spelling and grammatical errors in the petition, if not rewrite it completely.

Signed. I'm #429.

Great job! If you want to rewrite the petition to be a bit more passionate and effective, I am happy to help. Drop me a PM if you are interested. A better worded petition may help your cause and perk interest.

No man... you all rock. Working to preserve a place for yourselves to enjoy riding is critical. If you didn't do the trails, where would you go?

We would all become roadies and/or not ride at all. It would be a sad day if I couldn't hop on my bike and climb a single track into the mountains.

That's just evil. That would be like outlawing all road riding and forcing us to only do trails. It's all good for mtb'ers, but if it's not my cup of tea, I'd be really grouchy.

Good luck to you guys!

I talked to the General Manager(A friend of mine) of WPTZ News Channel 5. He said if the news gets slow this week. He will run a quick news segment about it.

All you criminals in the Champlain valley had better not screw this up. Lay low this week Please.

I'm number 630. I live just north of you guys (Montreal) and it would be shame if Whiteface prevented you guys from using the hill.

You are only an hour and half away! Come down and ride.

I spent half the day at the bottom of the half pipe on Whiteface handing out copy's of the petition.

Nothing new from the GM of WPTZ I will see him tomorrow. Anybody willing to right the press with a Letter to the editor? My writing skills are just not up to it. A link for you.

If it does close the NY state DEC will make it just about impossible to reopen. They already have their nose in the snow making operations at WhiteFace mountain.
