Rentals in Bay Area

Anyone know of any good shops with fair prices for renting some mountain bikes around the San Francisco and/or Santa Rosa area. Heading out there tomorrow until Tuesday and would like to check out some trails at least one day. I'll be staying in Santa Rosa so that's a little bit more of a convenient location, but I know there's probably more people who are more familiar with the bigger San Fran area. Also, will be doing some camping in the Big Sur area if anyone has tips on trails/camp sites around there it would be much appreciated!

Healdsburg (15 miles or so north of Santa Rosa) has Spoke Folkhttp://www.spokefolk.com/rentals/rates.asp(I don't think they do mtb's) and Wine country bikes for rentals(also don't think anyone around here actually does mtb rentals come to think of it..)

Maybe someone in SF knows of a good deal.

I stand self corrected: http://sonomavalleybiketours.com/son...als/index.html they're a ways off from Santa Rosa itself though 1254 Broadway, Sonoma, CA 95476

I think renting wine country bikes was also on the list for possible activities to do while in town so that does help. Wine + bikes =

Also posting this in the region specific forum as it may be more appropriate.

I got you a more specific link for a place that apparently rents mtb's locally there if ya missed it. I'm a local obviously so feel free to ask anything you might want to know.

Thanks for the links, man. My buddy seemed kind of apprehensive about the wine bike tour when I mentioned it to him before. Have you personally done any "winery hopping" on a bike in that area? If so, are there any suggestions you have that could make it a more enjoyable experience?

Also, I've been searching around singletracks to find some mountain biking trails around the area but if you can suggest any that would be fun for some intermediate riders to do, that would be awesome.

I'm more of a pub crawler kinda guy so that one I can't help very much on, but most of these rental companies have some pretty awesome tour setups, I'd suggest looking at that wine country bike place since that's a major part of their business model. I'll try to remember to ask a wine drinking friend of mine if he's partial to any.

As for riding, I'd suggest checking out Spring Lake Park/Annadel state Park, they're in Santa Rosa and in reality they are connected, there's some decent dirt there and a very large set of asphalt infrastructure to slowpoke around on if you feel like it.

There's also a park or two in my specific neck of the woods as well. Foothills Park in Windsor can be fun, lots of dirt trails all over. If you want something extremely tame, also in Windsor there is Riverfront Park extremely wide dirt paths yada blah, there is singletrack there but even the fishermen don't like walking those paths...

There's more but that's just off the top of my head, here's a decent listing of trails it looks like.
Sonoma County Mountain Biking - Mountain Bike Trails

Let me know if there's anything else you want a heads up on.
