Butterfly-type handlebar, but for 31.8mm wider stem?

Butterfly-type handlebar, but for 31.8mm wider stem?
Hey there,
So I've been improving my bicycle build (a MTB), and one of the features I have is that the stem is for a wider handlebar. Indeed, the handlebar gets wider towards the middle, where the measurement is supposed to be 31.8mm, rather than the usual 25.4mm.
I'm actually setting up the bike for touring, and I want a fairly upright riding position with many places to put my hands, so I figured that a butterfly handlebar would be best. Except I can't find any in this size! They're all 25.4mm.
I mean, I did find this Chinese manufacturer selling in what I think is bulk retail, and I've never heard of them, but other than that, no luck.
Any ideas for 31.8mm butterfly handlebars? I want to avoid changing the stem because 1) A new adjustable stem costs more than the handlebars, and 2) I like the extra stability and security of a wider section on the handlebar for when I'm off-road.

Apparently they don't exist, which seems really odd to me. You'll have to change the stem if you want the butterfly bars.
What stem do you have now? You can get adjustable stems for not a lot of money. I have this Nashbar stem, which is a bit heavy (any adjustable stem is going to be) and works decent. Does the stem have to be adjustable? Maybe you could get a fixed one that matches your adjustable one's current position. That's what I'm going to do with mine, since the adjustable one is so heavy.

I'm still figuring out my ideal riding position (fairly new to cycling) so the adjustability is a useful feature.
Looks like I'll probably have to make the investment in a new stem... or maybe wait until some manufacturer realizes that there's a hole in the market and decides to fill it.

Bam, there's the answer! $9 solves the problem. Leave it to the motorcycle guy to come up with a mechanical fix.
