Updating Tires on my MTB

Ok, seems I had a dry rotted(?) tire decide it did not like the 55 lbs psi I put in it, blew out, weird(?), blew a slit in the side wall. Anyway these are the 3 tires I'm considering, the price difference is not a deal breaker either way, but with just getting back into MTB's I need some advice. Here are the 3 I've narrowed it down to. Please advise.

Thanks in advance:

WTB VelociRaptor Mountain Tire - Special Edition - Mountain Bike Tires

Forté Pisgah 26x2.1 Wire Mountain Tire - Mountain Bike Tires

Continental 26" Mountain King 2.2 Mountain Tire - Mountain Bike Tires

I've read the reviews, the wtb sounds good, some say a little on the heavy side, but weight is not an issue, and I've read about these tires on another forum that I didn't join, picked this one instead

Anyway, they will be going on a 1990 Diamond Back Ascent, mostly a commuter(not worried about slow start ups), but also a light trail rider as I get back in shape, and the occasion when I got to bail off the road because someone decides texting is more important than I am.

Would one of our mods please delete this thread, it seems I somehow doubled up the thread. Sorry. Thanks.

Didn't hear back so after research and piece of mind I'm going with the meat.
