Need some advice ...

I have a 2005 Cannondale 1FG ... My Headshok Super Fatty Ultra DL seems to be on the outs , so i was wondering what are my options besides replacing. I love the lockout, and was considering just going rigid again, but i figured i would see what advice or recommendations anyone has.
thanks !

Well if you like the fork, have you considered just servicing the one you already have? If you decide otherwise I think you're going to need a kit like this Cannondale Headshok Bearings and Adapter Kits (100119317) at CambriaBike.com to be able to run a regular fork.

But I'm not entirely sure.

I actually find myself locking it all the way out 90 percent of my rides , maybe it is that i like how the rigid feels , not enough downhill terrain here in Florida , if i lived back in Pa , I would consider servicing it . I did call my LBS and arranged to have a look , in the meantime , just interested in some input , options , 2cents , pros , cons...
and thank you for the input.

No problem man, but I'm pretty sure you will need an adapter to mount a regular 11/8 fork on your frame. Not that that is a bad thing, just another aspect to be aware of.

yeah , its really the only thing about cannondale that i always hated( the 1.5 Headset). ive been thinking about maybe tearing it down , see whats goiing on , service it , then lock it out . you always wonder what others did or would do. I dont want to mess with the geometry of the bike , cuz its an awesome ride. my most fun ride i ever had was my SCHWINN Homegrown factory . in terms of fun to ride , rivals the fun factor of my Schwinn . Thanks for the advice and help. Luckily i have another bike to ride while i decide whats next !
