Scott Scale 700SL
I'm getting a Scott Scale 700SL. It's got that Sram XX 11 speed drivetrain. Otherwise it's about the lightest hardtail out there, should be sub 20 pounds with pedals. My dream MTB. Comes stock with 32 chainring, 10-42 eleven speed cluster. I'll go with a 38 chainring, that will work for the riding that I do. I get the feeling if I can't climb it in a 38-42 gear, I'll be walking anyway : ). Very pscyhed, always liked light hardtails, but never had one THIS light. Should be fun.

Nobody cares. But you should you know, this bike is so light it's stupid. I think it's going to rock. Better rollover than a 26", still very agile and flickable, lightest MTB on the planet. Where's the coveting?

I think it sounds nice pcad - it can be a tough crowd in here not from a lack of interest or appreciation but just lack of visitors. I have a sub 20lb hardtail but its aluminum and fully rigid and 1 gear so you have me beat in the weight department. Are you running tubeless? I didn't know you like to get off road also - who knew.

I had a Trek 9.8 that I got to just a smidge under 20lbs, and not too much chain lube. I'm envious, the Scott looks awesome, and plush in comparison.

I had a 30 pound Scott Hard Tail and I wanted a lighter ride. I found out that a 27 pound bike would cost me an extra one to two thousand.
I drop 27 pounds off my self, cost zero.
Got me a much better bike now, full squish and all. It weighs 30 pounds

I won't have the bike until January, they're not shipping yet.

It's a super nice bike, specs are pretty Intense. For a hard tail I don't think it gets much nicer IMO. Only turn off is carbon (and the whole 7500$ thing)
