#@#@$^@# OOWWWW!!! I can barely move.... dumbest injury ever.
Ok, so for the last three weeks, I've only been riding on the road. I crashed doing a jump three weeks ago and bruised my ribs, and today I decided I was feeling good enough to go out and try the jump again, to try and keep my confidenceup, since I'm just learning to jump and the injury was a fairly big blow to my progression.
So, I go over to my little jump, and it's all overgrown with weeds. I spend about an hour pulling out weeds to get thte thing ridable, and then I wuss out anyway because my chain is skipping when I pedal hard, so I just start riding home. On the way home, I was hopping up and down the curb between the bike lane and the sidewalk, trying to practice my bunny=hopping and dropping skills. I was trying to ride as slow as possible to make sure I was getting the front wheel up first when bunny-hopping, and when riding down I was trying to make sure that the back wheel hit the ground before the front wheel, to make sure I could keep the front wheel high enough for bigger drops... just practice stuff.
Anyway, I guess I lifted the front too high dropping off the curb, and I totally flipped the bike and landed flat on my ass on the pavement. I felt my back compress and I couldn't really move for a minute. I also put my wrist down behind me, and landed on that, too.
My wrist feels just like it did when I injured it snowboarding last year, and that took over a month to heal. It hurts to type with that hand. I can barely move my back. I have to walk around hunched over because it hurts to straighten it. I'm thiking maybe I should go to the hospital and get looked at.
I'm thinking about saying "#$@% it" to the freeride bike, and getting a Stumpjumper or something that hopefully doesn't temp me to injure myself so much...
It was nice that about 8 people showed up within a few seconds after I crashed, offering to give me rides home or call an ambulance and to see if I was ok.

Wow! I errr... don't really know what to say other than I hope your injuries aren't serious and you get better soon. Don't give up on the freeride stuff yet. You're just starting to learn. Just pay attention to what you're learning in the future.

You need to eat at mcdonalds exclusively for a month.
Then you can fall on your ass all you want, and it wont hurt

Just give yourself time to heal. You have learned to moderate how much you pull up on the bars! Just remeber if you play it safe every time you ride you will never push yourself to get better!
P.S. remember to use adhesive when putting grip on your bike, it is much more embarrassing to be flying through the air trying to land just a pair of handlebar grips!

Just give your bike to me and your injury worries will be over for sure!
I tried a wheelie on my friend's pos old bike which is from england and has the brakes (that dont even work) moto style. I grabbed for the rear brake and ended up pulling the front and completely flipped over. Hurts like a B!tch.
