Picked Up a new Trek Superfly 5

Last week The weather was crappy around here, I had time to kill. I decided to drive into Houston
and visit 1 of the Largest Bike SHops around. I was really amazed at all the selection. The Carbon bikes were amazing. I had a blast looking at bikes and riding them around the facility. I probably rode 10 different models. Anyway, not that I was needing to buy anything, My Rockhopper is a fairly decent ride, although with cheap components. I was really impressed with the 2015 Superfly 5. For reasons we wont discuss I bought it.
This bike was really in my price range, and had a decent build of components. I did pay an extra charge
to order a Shimano XT Shadow Plus Rear Der. and they swapped it out. They even gave me a New Shock pump. I took it out for a 3 mile run this afternoon. I really like it, Its a 18.5 frame and I like it better than
my 17.5 Rockhopper. I weighed it at my shop and its 28# to me that is light.

Anybody on here have any experience with a Superfly?

    thanks

    Dave

When I was looking at bikes it came down to a 2013 superfly al and a 2013 C-dale AL1 lefty. I found the superfly was a real fun and playful bike. Really liked it. The c-dale felt a bit faster and a little lighter at 23#. The C-dale was a heck of a deal with better components. But the fly was a kick in the pants to ride. Got the Lefty but still have thought about weather I chose correctly at times.

I recently bought a 2015 Superfly 5 also.. 17.5 inch frame... So far a great ride.. accelerates fast and feels very solid.. still playing with fork air pressure.. trek really has the geometry on their 29ers dialed in.. Doesnt feel so tall and handle clumsy like some 29ers of the past.. I have owned 26" 27.5" and 29er.. being a shorter guy (5'7") I thought 27.5inch was the way to go. i was wrong.. beautiful frame... 2x10 gearing is great.. the brakes are getting broke in and grab very well.. I also would like to hear from any other Superfly riders....
    Ride....
