So I found this website for the Kaw Valley Bicycle Club and sent the following email to both the President and webmaster (nothing says "We care about our website" like returned mail marked "Mailbox full" from the webmaster) but haven't gotten a reply. Due to my own lack of planning, I'm making this decision with a day and a half before I leave. Anyhow, I found all their weeknight rides interesting, but they are all marked "in season" so I'm not sure if next week is "in season" or not. Anyone ride with this group?

Hello, I'll be in Topeka for the SCCA Solo Nationals from the 21st thru the 29th at Heartland Park and have been debating about bringing my road bike. Could you tell me if there are any club rides during this period? I'd be available to ride after 5pm (I hope) any day and all day on the 24th and 25th. I've only been riding for about 5 months and usually average about 16.5mph on a 25 mile ride with 2000ft of climbing.

Also, I have a not-so-in-shape friend who would like to ride with me (separate from any club rides) on our mountain bikes (clad with road-type tires) on perhaps a rail-to-trail. Is there anything like that near Topeka we could do on Monday morning?
