If you do the Lookout Mtn Loop, then turn around and do it the other direction, it's about 38 miles and 5,400 feet of climbing.

Meh. Just get friction shifters... then all you have to set is high and low limits.

Are you 2 are just kidding about there not being enough climbing?? 2700" in 19 miles is pretty hilly in my book. And from ~mile 6.4 to ~mile 11.2, it's about a constant 6% grade. Certainly long and steep enough for me this early in the season.

Meh... I think everyone can make this route... the grade isn't really that steep, and those that still want more climbing can get more in after the loop. Those that have had enough can bow out gracefully when we regroup at the Park 'n Ride. Those that are REALLY into it can add Colorow Rd and Mt Vernon Country Club Rd and get another 1000 ft or so of climbing in before the Park 'n Ride.

Trying to keep this fun for everyone, while still being enough of a challenge to keep the better riders coming back to ride again! I for one enjoyed the challenge of trying to keep up with the leaders on the sprints, as well as riding back with the rest of the group.

Ok, ok... I have a hard enough time trying to remember names, much less trying to match them up with forum nicknames. *sighs*

So... you're in charge of the route for the 25th, right?

'Kay. Boulder County here we come. We'll go for distance and less altitude. Still got hills.

So... got my bike computer patched together... I'll have to pick up a new one eventually... the sensor mounts are both broken, as was the mount for the cadence sensor. The wire was cut in 3 places, too.

Anyway, it works... now I can start watching my cadence again.

Boulder??? That's a long way away!

Hey all I rode up Lookout Mtn today (in car). There were snow in some spots mostly around corners on the north side of the mountain, tons of sand. I think we will be okay going up.

See you all tomorrow.

Stopped by Westside Cycle today... Kyle has the route and says he'll definitely be there, and he's bringing friends.

Enjoy the ride guys -
I've been putting in 12's at work this week and am completely exhausted.
I may pull out the tandem and take the family to Wash. Park or something this afternoon... but otherwise staying close to the house and catching up on chores, etc.

Looks like another beautiful day in Colorado - Enjoy those hills!!

Oh, cool. I'm looking forward to reading the latest additions to your cycling blogs/ journal. It should provide some excellent Sunday night reading.
