Man...<sigh>

I took the paperwork to show my boss and he offered to pay half. And he offered to help me get a better bike. I can't wait!

I would ask but there really isn't a "charitable" charity on that list. It's not like you riding for breast cancer awareness or MDA. From what I can tell it's just random places along the race route. I could be wrong so I'm still researching it.

Edited a few minutes later:

Last year, Triple Bypass participants and sponsors helped generate over $90,000 in charity support.

This helps my cause but I wish I could put a single name to it like "I'm riding for Cancer Research wanna help?" I think it would be easier. Maybe I'm over thinking it.

bmclaughlin807 02-13-07 07:10 AM

I didn't even ask. I was just bragging about the ride I was gonna do and he offered to help me out. :)

bmclaughlin807 02-13-07 11:36 AM

The weather is looking great for this weekend, I'm up for it! :)

Oh, I stopped by Westside Cycling last night and weighed my tank while I was there... 41 lbs. :)

snowy 02-13-07 11:38 AM

41lbs!!! WOW. Your a machine :)

Pwnt 02-13-07 11:43 AM

I'm down. Where you wanna go? I want some hills so I can decide if I need to sell my bike to BMC cheap or not? :D

superdex 02-13-07 11:54 AM

I'm game ....

bmclaughlin807 02-13-07 11:56 AM

By the way, distance and elevation for our last ride (As close to the route we actually took as I could remember it(should be within a few feet!):

Date: 2/11/2007 (Sun) Miles: 27.20 Elevation gain: 1,024

snowy 02-13-07 12:01 PM

Hmmm we could ride up West by where I live?

Superdex knows the route. But we can add Lookout mountain to it if we want??

Superdex what do you think??

bmclaughlin807 02-13-07 12:13 PM

Club Hypoxia has route maps for a ride that includes lookout mountain. We could grab them from there. Tons of good routes out here by us. :)

Edit: Hrmm.. it was Team Evergreen, and their route map start in Gennesee.

snowy 02-13-07 12:18 PM

Here is my route. This is from my house.

Ride some residental streets up to Alameda. Alameda South to Jewell. Jewell West to C-470. Now we can take the bike path along C-470 or go up Rooney Rd. (which I call Dakota) short climb to the back side of Morrison. Ride Morrison up thru Red Rocks or go North to Golden and take the bike path along Hwy 6th to 19th Street, then start climbing Lookout??

There are a ton of possibilties. I'm open for anything. :)

superdex 02-13-07 12:28 PM

yeah yeah yeah, you just don't want to drive anywhere! ;)

We can meet at the Paradise Hills Park-n-Ride (Address: 22222 US Hwy 40, Golden Location: I-70 @ exit 256) , head north to Lookout, up Lookout, down Hwy 40 (Mt Vernon Canyon Rd, alongside I70), then head south towards Red Rocks and come back north via the C470 trail. It'd be a great figure 8 with some significant climbing....

what do you kids think?

Pwnt 02-13-07 12:32 PM

Start Time?

bmclaughlin807 02-13-07 12:34 PM

Ummm... I can't drive anywhere. No car. But I'm up for anything starting within 20 miles of the metro area(Buses work fine!). Have you mapped it on routeslip or bikely yet?

snowy 02-13-07 12:38 PM

That route sounds fine to me. :)

Start time can be 11:30-12:30??

S.dex I still might drive to that route. HEE HEE.

bmclaughlin807 02-13-07 12:49 PM

That's why it's great to start and end at the park 'n rides, all ya lazy bums that can't handle a few extra miles can park! :p *ducks and runs*

Thats more or less the route I rode Saturday, Lookout up to the I70 Frontage Road down to 40 south to 74 east to Rooney back to Golden, about ~30 miles, 2600 feet of gain from my house atop Ford road in Golden.

I am heading to the mountains for a week of skiing so I will miss Sunday, have a good one! "Supposed" to be nice out by the weekend.

snowy 02-13-07 01:28 PM

Have a great weekend fellows. Hairlessbill and BV. :)

My advice is to stay off the bike trail and just ride the frontage road (Rooney?), when i rode it last Saturday I only saw one car, and about 15 bikes, its a great road and no traffic, you can ride strung out across the road and feel safe.
