Bike Shop in SLC

I have a friend that is looking to get into road cycling. I Was wondering if anybody could offer any recommendations for a good and reliable bike shop in southwest Salt Lake City, Utah (I think near South Jordan).

Thanks,

If your friend is getting into Road Cycling, I would suggest getting a great fit first and Mike at Canyon Cycles on the bench is the "man" for fitting. They can also set him up for a bike, but he has no problem fitting you for a decent fee and then talking to you about what bikes you should consider. Even though we had 3 good shops in Park City, it was worth the drive for me to get a good fit first. Dave Zabriske has been going there since he was a teenager and they say he has the best TT position in the peleton. He was also responsible for changing Z's road position this year to help him climb. All I know is he set up my bike after my fit and I haven't changed a thing in three years.

When I was there I got my Cannondale at Revolution Mountain Sports but they are more of a MTB shop.

I agree, Mike is the man for fit! However, he is across the valley from West Jordan, and is the dealer for really great, high-end bikes.

SLC is definitely yucky today, rainy, but tomorrow is supposed to bring a foot of snow! I hate winter!

Canyon is a good bunch of guys, and they've always treated me well, even though they sell the most insane stuff in the valley. VERY high end, and very serious stuff. And they were cool to my parents when they bought a couple comfort (ick) bikes last year. Surprisingly, not too snooty. Though I'm still more comfortable at a greasy little shop like Cyclesmith, Spin Cycle, or Wild Rose.

yep.The weather is causing me such intense boredom, I'm thinking of taking up cross country skiing. I hate snow, but when there is this much, I could probably ski without leaving my neighborhood. Ever done it?
