Trail conditions in Denver metro?

Hi,

Hope that everyone is thawing out nicely in Denver.

I've been out of town for almost 4 weeks, but since I'm always keeping an eye on Denver weather (via weather.com) I've noticed that conditions have been pretty seasonal. When I left (in early January) there was a nice blast of warmer than average weather that turned the Cherry Creek and Platte trails into a fairly sloppy, yet rideable adventure.

So what about now? How clear of ice, snow and snowmelt are they? I've got 2 weeks in Denver before having to travel again and I'd like to plan my Denver riding accordingly.

Thanks.

Meh, got on the Cherry Creek path at about Larimer and headed south. Too many little snow drifts covering what appeared to be black ice --- not good for me and my skinny, bald tires. I turned around before even making in to Confluence Park, cut over to Highlands and stuck to the roads (W. 32nd St.).

Thanks for the info. I will take my Mountain Bike for this Tuesday's commute.
As of late if I do not know what the conditions are I tend to pick it just to be safe.
I spent this last week in Wisconsin so I have no clue about the trail conditions.

Haven't spun a wheel since about Dec 12. Last 2 weeks of the year because I was on vacation, but it's been too cold for me since. Maybe Thursday.
