A group of my friends are planning to do the 'Super 7' ....

On the day of the Triple (They're all registered) They're going to start in Evergreen, cruise up Mt. Evans... rejoin the Triple, ride to Avon. Spend the Night. Ride the Triple Bypass route in reverse the next day.

So... anyone game?

I would go for it but since I paid that lovely fee I intend to enjoy the entire services on the TBP route.

Ouch, now I feel really old. Sounds a bit like Mountain Madness only shorter

Instead of following the Triple Bypass route, maybe we could do a ride that is a loop, but still has some good climbing. We could follow the Copper Triangle route, for example.

That's certainly doable. What I'd like to see the most is a majority consensus and participation. So, if there's a group that want to rock the Triangle, then let it be. Let's not stick to just one ride either. Let's get a few in. So if someone wants to propose a century-ish route, then shout it out.

Well, I can still shout, but that's about all at the moment. One of my favorite century routes in the mountains starts and finishes about 10 miles north of Kremmling, goes over Gore and Rabbit Ears Pass with a lunch stop in Steamboat Springs. Here's a map. https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1817465

This also works well as a two day ride with over night in Steamboat for food, hot springs and beer.

Hey, that's a good one for sure. I also like Kremmling over Willow Creek Pass to Walden, then over to Muddy Pass and back to Kremmling ...'bout 130mi.

The Gore and Rabbit Ear Pass route Shifty's talking about is much more scenic.

Hey Shifty, are you ready to ride by July?

I sure hope so, that would be really nice. I have my bike set up on a trainer, so I'm starting to get in an hour or so of riding now, will increase as I can. I'll keep you posted, and watch this thread.

Howdy,

Anyone up for a long ride (75 - 100 mi) either Sunday or Monday? We can ride and plan for the ride that this thread was made a sticky for ...the grass roots TBP.

The path from Vail to Copper is now super clean so the Copper Triangle is a good option for me. I'm open to other suggestions closer to Denver too.

Question about the Triple. From Silver Plume it looks like Hwy 6 dumps onto I-70. Is there a way to get around getting on 70 there?

Thanks!

Anyone up for setting up our own TBP this year? with registration closing same-day, its probably safe to assume others who wanted to ride didn't get in.

I'm game! Only, being new to the area still, it'd be sweet to have some along that could lead the ride.

well since we're the only two volunteers so far, looks like you're in charge
I'm willing to do what I can to organize. I'll wait to get too gung-ho until some snow melts, and ppl start thinking about riding.
