Crossing the Mississippi
On a cross country tour we'll be crossing from Illinois into Missouri and planned on using the Grafton Ferry, but I just found out it's closed. Any advice in linking from Roxana, IL with the start of the Katy Trail?

Alton bridge. A couple miles on the MO side, take back roads into St Charles. There may be flooding right now, check in Alton.
What are you doing in Roxana? Out of the way place, tiny.

Yea I know, free place to stay tonight. Not as picturesque as I'd imagined, ugh. Very nice bike path network on the IL side of the Miss. though. Anyway, thanks for the redirection, I'll give it a try. After the Katy, we'll drift into and finish up on the Trans-Am trail, through your Eugene and finish up in Florence.

Get in touch when you hit Eugene, I'll buy dinner.

Thanks Shifty, all went well into St. Charles. Roxana reminded me of the Long Beach, CA I remember from my youth. Anyway, the Katy is great and we'll give you shout from Sisters, maybe the last of Aug.

Mike
