Independence pass
This year the ride up Independence Pass will be held on May 16th, before it opens to auto traffic. Does anyone know if you can ride the pass on the 15th? I would like to support the ride and pay to go on 16th, but I can't ride that day.

CDOT target is for pass to open to traffic MM weekend.
Last year the pass didn't open for traffic until a week after mem day week.
Note This ride only goes to 10,700' not to top of pass.

Do you know if the road will be open to bikes before it is open to traffic?

Yeah trail ridge is higher. I think there is some weird technicality about the "pass" on Trail Ridge Road being Milner Pass, which is around 10,200' and not the top of the road, which is around 12,200'
