Moab Skinny Tire Festival

Is anybody making the trip this weekend for the Skinny Tire Festival? It looks like I-70 will be out, but there are ways around.

Let's meet up!

Nope, but didn't know about it. I will have to keep that in mind next year. Heading down there for the first week of May to ride the White Rim and some other trails. Hope I-70 is open by then.

How was the STF?
It looked like it was cold, and maybe rained a bit.

Yeah, it was pretty good! This was my 4th STF, I really love to go to Moab in March, nice break from the Oregon rain.

The rides were Saturday thru Tuesday, it did rain on Sunday so they canceled the ride. Saturday was a bit cool, not cold, but after an hour or so the sun came out and it was just fine. It rained Sunday, but Monday was super nice, sunny and warm for the ride in Arches National Park. Tuesday was even warmer than Monday, no wind and sunny, nice ride.

People from Colorado reported NO problem in Glenwood Canyon from the rockslide, I guess they had a lane open in each direction, so detour was not necessary.

Watch for the STF next year, it's a fun event in a great place.

I was in Moab before and after the STF. We missed the rain and had 55-60 degree sunshine. I did some shorter rides (from town to Castle Rock and from town to the Power Station up Potash Rd). I will have to make it to the STF one of these years.
