Mysterious Lady

I'm currently living in the Great Lakes region looking at a job relocation to Utah (SLC/Provo area). I've never lived in a mountainous area... always more in the Midwest. I feel silly asking, but will my needs change in terms of riding out there? Right now I'm a fitness rider looking to push myself more, but not hard core like a lot of people here. lol I was about to purchase a hybrid/fitness bike in the $400-$600 range, but my dh pointed out that maybe my needs will change enough that a bike that works well here (lots of flat areas with some hills), may not work well there.

We have all kinds of riding available, road, mountain, trails, steep, flat, easy, challenging, name your poison. It sounds like you'd be happy with a hybrid, riding the paved trails, of which there are many in both Salt Lake and Provo area. Check with https://www.utahmountainbiking.com/ They have maps of many trails, both dirt and paved.

I am retired from Mountain Biking, but we have the best Mountain Biking in the world.
If you wanna commute you may want a bright orange jersey,,
There is for the easy rider also this thing called the Jordan River Parkway, we hope one day it will be completed from Provo to Ogden, It's a nice place for a low paced ride.
Its a Pedestrian /Bicycle trail .
