Triple Bypass 2012
Well I rode my first TBP yesterday, did the Sunday ride from Avon to Bergen Pk. It took me 9 hours and 27 min on the bike. I had been nursing a knee injury leading up to it and it didn't really affect me till the last climb. It was a blast with two flats, rain, sunshine, wind and even a little BB sized hail, gotta love Colorado.
Me after finishing:
I managed to hit a top speed of 74.3 mph and topped 50 mph on all 3 major passes LOL. Just don't tell my wife, she knows I'm a speed freak and was worried about me coming down the mountains. The only hairy moment was coming down Squaw on wet roads near the top and locking up the rear wheel once but I recovered quite nicely and continued on at full tilt.
How did your rides go??
