I-70 Idaho Springs East to Central City Parkway
I am planning on doing Squaw Pass from Bergen Park to Idaho Springs tomorrow, and heading east from there to eventually get on Hwy 40 back to Bergen/Evergreen.
Last year I did this 3 times in the opposite direction, and between the east end of Idaho Springs and Central City Parkway, there was a concrete barrier on the eastbound
side of I-70 for about 2 miles that formed a trail/sidewalk. It was the only way to get from where the road ends in Idaho Springs to where the Scott Lancaster trail meets
the road east of there.
Wondering if anyone here has done this segment yet this year and if the barrier is still there to allow passage along that stretch of I-70. I don't think bicycles are allowed
on that part of I-70. I don't want to go back over the pass to get home if I can help it. I think they're still doing blasting up there, so maybe they've changed the road configuration again since last year.
Thanks, Eric

It's about the same as last year. Details may have changed a little, but you still ride along the highway separated by the concrete barrier.
