New mods again - not April Fools!

Ok, we lost a few mods this past month or so, and needed some new victims. Believe it or not, the new mods are V1k1ng1001, X136, and Siu Blue Wind. [edit] And Blickblocks.

No, I am not joking. Congrats to all of them!

Max, the paradox of being a MOd is that you NEVER get it if you ask for it. We draft people rather than accepting volunteers.......

And in some cases, the 'draft' is caused by the door hitting you on the way out .

Maxi, why don't you see about being a moderator on a nice small website, so that you can see what it's like?

In particular, WHY do you want to be a moderator here at Bike Forums?

That's a question I used to ask myself often. Perhaps he heard that moderators get all the chicks?

Hmmm, could be. Perhaps he just wants that nice BikeForums t-shirt since otherwise he's only getting a lump of coal?

Did I mention that moderators are expected to be helpful? That's a difficult skill to master when one is relatively young. Maxi, stick around for about five years or so, and practice being helpful. No whinging! No bad language! You...can...do...it !

And in answer to the question--soon !

https://www.peephut.org/peeprecipes.html

You can't think of them as narsty little yellow marshmallowy things, you have to think of them as happy little multi-hued marshmallowy things.

A bit like snails and escargot .

Scary, isn't it?

Even more scary--the Seattle Times has a yearly Peeps contest:

Hmmm.

The last thing a good moderator wants to do is to ban someone. There's almost always a redeeming quality in every member--the moderator's doing his or her best job when the annoying pest turns into a good member. Yes Maxi, you will become a good member one of these day if you don't get permanently banned first .

So, Brian asks a good question--who, and why?

And as crtreedude asks: "But if you banned yourself, how could you ever come back?"
