Hey guys, I'm still new-ish. I live in Alexandria, just off of Van Dorn near the 495 entrance/exit.
I've mostly gotten my bike set up. I haven't been able to get it perfectly fitted to me yet, so I'll be adjusting it tomorrow.
Despite all of that I'm looking at getting fit enough for racing.
What I need is people to ride with. Obviously you know that I'll be slow for a while 'till I get my legs back.
I need to know what others do for training, nutrition, and where to ride for various training days, like long days, 120 miles. Mountains/Hills. Sprints and Group rides.
It's been 20 years, do people still do Interval training?
What do you do in the Winter/Cold/Rain?
What resources do you use from the internet?
What foods or supplements do people use these days? 20 years ago we had Cytomax (which can still be found at bike shops) which was awesome!
What about these gel packs I've seen? Are they any good?
Can anyone help me with fitting my bike without it costing me $60-$250? Those prices seem outrageous when I had it done 23 years ago they didn't charge you to fit the bike to you.
Is there a team or club I can join?
