Give me a little credit here - lens inserts. I don't have clear ones, but my tinted ones allow something like 80% of the light to pass through, which is plenty. Better than losing an eye to a stray branch or a bug. (Though it didn't do anything to block out the residual truck fumes on the GWB.)

Any interest in the NY century route next wknd?

ah, okay. i was picturing the kind of sunglasses you wear at the pool on a bright summer day.

speaking of eye injuries. i was trying to cut my rear DR cable and a thin shard of metal flew off and hit my glasses. i picked it up and it was like a tiny little knife. i couldn't imagine how much pain i would be in if i didn't have my glasses on. whew! so, i hear you on not wanting to lose an eye to a branch or a bug.

i'll probably be up for a ride on the weekend.

What century ride is this weekend? Is it an organized ride or is it Slvoid's own century where he's going to follow the Green "C"s on the road from the NYC Century tour?

With rest stops, red lights, flat tire, and a dangerously sliding left shifter/brake assembly... I think I managed 13.

...and yes I know you were kidding

and yeah on for thursday at about 6:15 ?

cjc? slvoid? anyone else?

You guys are too fast. I'll train until I catch up. May you take the speed crown from super light void, though he doesn't appear to be super light.

I ususally only average about 19 or so around the loop. I am not one of the fast people.

I ussually ride until about 8 or so. maybe we can make up a timmhaan song to sing so you'l know when you hear us.

I'll just look for no decal guy. You'd have been so much easier to spot with the ratty bar tape
