yo philly and nyc messenger!!
Hey, my name is Andrew and i work for a network called Current TV. I produce short 5 to 7 min non fiction work for broadcast. Current TV reaches some 30 million homes across the country via Direct TV and the Dish Network. Its also available in Philadelphia on comcast 107 and in NYC on time warner cable channel 103.
Right now, i'm working on a piece dealing with the idea that the number of Bike Messengers is declining due to advancements in technology. Coming from a biking background (I worked in a bike shop in philly for 5 years before leaving to work freelance) i realize that there is not a clear cut answer to this topic. I'm hoping to interview members of the pbma and nybma, messenger companies and messengers who have been around long enough to see a change (if one). If you yourself have any opinions or know anyone that might wish to be interview, drop me an email.
Also, if you wanna check out a sample of my work and current tv, check out this link: https://www.current.tv/watch/1064951
This is a piece i shot for Current TV in 2005 about bikes in Philadelphia.
I want to make sure that i present this topic as accurate as possible, so input you have would be great. Thanks.

I've got a buddy who is a retired messenger. (After he got hit by the third cab he said enough was enough. I told him he was two cabs away from sanity in my book.)
If you'd like I'll forward your post to him.
