Alexandria, VA Old Town here.

I think they should make a new forum here and call it "Mid Atlantic" to encompass Baltimore metro area, D.C. metro area, all the way down to Richmond VA, and the rest of VA/MD/DC/DE/WV, over the to coast. The most logical places for breaks in "regions" are usually between Richmond and Raleigh to the south, and between Philly, and NYC to the north. however I have often seen the n orthern break occure south at the MD/PA state line so Philly was grouped in the NE.


I think in terms of bringing local people / events together, its probably MUCH better to have a "Mid Atlantic" region. As it is, the slpit in this forum splits a major metropolitan area of 6.2 million people, right down the middle (Washington D.C.) metro area, and thats not including populations of more than 50 miles ouside of DC, nor baltimore or richmond.


Any mods/ admins here that could look into giving us a "Mid Atlantic" forum for the geographic regions listed above, as opposed to splitting an area of 8 to 10 million people right down the middle?

I think it would be a very smart move.
Any reason you preferred to do a mass PM rather than just create a continuing general DC events thread for notifying the locals?
You can even create a link in the general continuing thread to a specific event.
It's pretty easy to unsubscribe if the thread posts become volumous, but PM's could keep coming creating undue clutter.
Also lets latecomers see the posts they missed, and lets persons not on the list see what's happenning here or lets other BF persons passing through the DC area to plan a local ride whilst comming through-a lot of people come here for short stays on business.
