debrn, check out these guys: https://www.sevenhillswheelmen.org/

They've also got a library of cue sheets for local routes: https://members.aol.com/shwworc/cuesheet/library.htm

Definitely give them a try. My wife and I ride with the group from time to time. They have a lot of various rides and speeds.
If you want also checkout the Mon and Wed night rides from the intersection of rte 70 & 140 in Boylston with the Bike Alley club. Monday is about an 18mph average and Wed is faster. Both nights rides start at 4:30 and 6pm and do a loop around the reservoir.
