Greater Burlington, Vermont anyone?
Hey BF folks! Anyone from the Greater Burlington area? A week ago the snow was still falling and this week we are in the 70s...I got over 70 miles on the bike in the last 3 days! I'm interested in local riding folks who like to ride 30-60 miles. Anyone interested? I'm new to the area so...looking for others to help me explore the new landscape.

Hi Kin, I don't live there now, but I was born and raised in BTV. Graduated from BHS in 75 and haven't lived there since. I love going up for vacations in the summer but try to avoid the place in the winter. Most of my family still lives in the area. I always take my bike up and ride as much as I can. Love riding out to South Hero and through Malletts Bay. I have also rode from Morrisvile down to the lake along the Lamoille River and from Waterbury to the lake along the Winooski River. It's easier riding down river than up, I did ride part way up a few years ago and made it to about Johnson when my wife came along in the car and I said enough. I might try again this year. Don't know any riders in the BTV area. Good luck.

Hi,
The Green Mountain Bike Club has a bunch of scheduled rides over the coming months. I have been having trouble getting away for more than an hour or two so... Easier to put them on the calendar and resolve any issues upfront. Their link. https://www.thegmbc.com/touring/2008%20Schedule.shtml
Having said that, if you live around the Williston area, I could help with some routes and maybe a ride or two.
PM me. Towney

I live in Bristol, the commuting fringe of the greater Burlington area. I did Cochran's century last year; it was great except the last 20 miles of pouring rain! Did my first Ap Gap climb today, some great rides in Addison County.

I live in Burli, at least until late June. I haven't ridden much with other people and I'm pretty slow right now, but I could probably slog out 60 relaxed miles.
