Tour de Carroll
Is anyone doing the Tour de Carroll this weekend? https://www.tourdecarroll.com/
This is my first time for this one, and I'm really looking forward to it.

Hiya. I signed up. I'm in NoVA, so it's about a 60 mile drive up there, but it sounds like fun. I want to get started early and hopefully beat the rain, which is likely in the afternoon. I haven't done it before, so I don't know what the organization/logistics/route is like.

I did this last year, nice ride. A lot of rolling hills.
I would bring something to eat. If I remember the food was scarce at the rest stops. Come to think of it I don't think there was any food. Maybe they changed it this year but bring something to eat just in case.
And I don't know where they got that picture on their web site. There were not that many riders!

I'm planning on doing the 36 miler with my wife, her brother and dad, and a few friends. The route designer told me that the metric is "hilly". I did the 30 mile route last year and it wasn't too bad, but there were some leg burners.

Just got back from the TDC, and had a great time. The weather was great, and the route was nice. A fair amount of hills, but mostly rollers. There was indeed food at the rest stops
This is a nice early-season ride, and I'll probably do it again next year.

I did the metric; was good but some of the hills nearly killed me. I think I have my power to weight ratio reversed! On the other hand, my Selle SMP Evolution saddle was perfect. Now I've gotta start thinking about a 100 miler...

thanks Jim! I didn't even know that this site existed. I think this is the 36 miler:
https://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united...r/988142227865
Looks like it hit some of the nicer, less developed areas of Carroll County. Count me in for next year.
