Tour De Cure, ADA June 14 Riverhead, NY
I am signed up and ready for my 2nd Imperial Century! (Almost! I wasn't ready for my first!)
Is anyone else around here riding this? I'm still recovering from last weekends Montauk 100, and should be at 87% by the time June 14 comes around. 87% is enough to ride the 100 mile option! I saw many Tour De Cure route markings along the way to Montauk so there will be a lot of overlap.
Here's my page:

I am posting this in Northeast since it should be a great ride in our area, the fundraising goals are reachable, and I'd like to connect with fellow Riverhead Long Island ADA riders!

Well I'm supposing I'm riding this alone to start. It just means I'll make totally new friends!

Tempting - I have plans that day but if things change I could do it last minute. I get a little confused how these fundraising rides work - when's the latest I could sign up and how much would that cost if I can't actually fundraise?

well, I'm also doing a Tour De Cure, but it's the Gloucester century route up in Massachusetts on June 8. In the past, when I've ridden with friends, we've never managed to stay together over a distance like that so it's usually for the best that we do this solo. It's also nice to meet new people.

Well the date fast approaches. Here are the specifics:
https://main.diabetes.org/site/TR?pg=entry&fr_id=5140
I think I will have to do the 63 miles ride. The 5BBC Montauk ride is too early in the season, I've strained my knee with overuse issues. AGAIN!

Thanks for your donation to the ADA, Air! Much appreciated!

No problem!
Worried about your knee though - still from the 5BBC ride? I've kept off mine for the most part but itching to get back on and try the toe clips.

Thanks! I'm going to start pretty loose and adjust in increments. Never rode with them before so it should be interesting.

I'm riding this as well. I'm in a team, but I'm the only one in the team doing the full century.
