Where to start in Fort Lee to cross the George

A friend and I are planning to ride over the George Washington Bridge tomorrow morning, weather permitting. (Something I've never done, oddly enough, despite growing up in NJ.) Does anyone know of a food starting place in Fort Lee? I'm thinking somewhere within a mile or so of the Hudson Terrace entrance. I seem to remember there are a lot of little parks near the bridge, many with parking lots.

Thanks!

I think on the weekends you can park on Hudson Terrace, north of the bridge. I see lots of cars with bikes parking there on Sunday mornings when if I ride that way to 9W.

Thanks, everybody. We parked in Fort Lee Historical park, and the entrance to the south walkway is just down the street: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path...hington-Bridge

You can access the west side greenway from the bridge, but it's a little tricky to find it.

"It's Greek to Me" is a good place; I used to go there after hiking in the Palisades. Their Greek coffee is amazing. I'll have to try the Fort Lee news Bar sometime.

....aand pictures!

The entrance to the south walkway of the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, NJ.

The best bit: We saw two guys on unicycles crossing the George. Big unicycles, with 36" tires. One of them stopped when Bruce took his picture, and rode back, posing for another. We chatted with them for a few minutes on the south walkway, roadies zipping by us at psychotic speeds. One of them had aerobars and a bottle cage.

Me adjusting the saddle tilt on Little Red.

More pictures here.
