Spinning class's in Maryland - around Gaithersburg
So I am planning for the winter and figure it would be a good idea to take some spinning class's. Their are a bunch of health clubs around me (Sport and Health, Bally's, ect.) but not sure about their spinning class's. I know they differ because each has different instructors, but are their certain clubs that have good reviews on a spinning class?
I have been looking at sport and health at rio (if you know were that is located in Gaithersburg) which is one of their star facilitys I would call it. The price is a little high I have heard around $40 a month, but I think its worth it.
So far I've gotten a recommendation about "Fitness First" in Olney, as well as Flower Hill and Germantown. While I don't personally know anything about these clubs or their classes, I am familiar with some of the instructors (in Olney), and know them to be committed, thoughtful Spinning instructors.
I've seen you on the Maryland post. I'm doing spinning a couple times a week at Meadowbrook here in Bmore. Obviously too far for you but what I wanted to say is this. I find that some instructors are more intense and some not. You'll probably have a similar experience. But with spinning you can go as hard as you want even if the instructor isn't pushing. Our classes are 45 minutes which of course is a short bike ride but it's pretty intense. A lot of the people on the MD forum are hard core winter riders. I just mix it up with some road, some spinning, some running, and weights. Good luck.
