Cycling in Nova Scotia

This may be a question from left field but here goes.

Has anyone taken the ferry (CAT) from Maine to Nova Scotia and cycled in Nova Scotia?
A few of us are planning to do this and could use some pointers.
Thanks

Augusta to Bar Harbor, Maine. used "Bluenose" ferry to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada (NSCA). i went to Halifax, headed west to Turo, then through Cabot Trail, , but wiped out at Breton Cove. people at camp took me to Sydney so i could rebuild rear destroyed wheel at LBS. picked tour back up, , went back through Troy but inland this time, saw Bay of Fundy, Bridgetown, back to Yarmouth. after ferry back to USA, i met some kids at Cadilac Mountain, Maine. they gave me a ride to Augusta!
i did this tour solo after x-USA (Bikecentenial, e-w, 1982). our tour leader stated that: "if you ever tour again, tour NSCA!" i took him up on that, will never regret the choice!
if you want further info, let me know. i am aware that my data is dated, but am enthusiastic about your venture!

Sounds like quite an adventure.
We're planning on just a couple of days of cycling and the ferry back to Maine.

you could ferry to yarmouth, ride east coast (atlantic time) to halifax, go west to see bay of fundy and back. this would be 6 days, +/-...from Bar Harbor, ME., pushing it.

for "a couple of days" meaning "2 days", the ferry will take that time, from USA-CA (8hr and CA to USA 8hr = 16hr ). add loading times, time changes, etc., your 2 days will be best spent gambling on the ferry, seeing yarmouth after customs, and the same State side.

before leaving (or returning) on your 2 day exploration, check out Cadilac mountain views and Bar Harber at least (Maine).

OR

are you leaving from Portland, ME? even more time on ferry, clarity please!
