Can u ride over 59th st. bridge on 4th of July?

I want to ride over the 59th bridge probably around 8pm and go over to LIC to check out the firework by that new boardwalk with all those new condos. So can u ride a bike over 59th st. bridge or not? If not, what time does it open and close for peds or bikers for 4th of July? Thx in advance.

I'll have to check, but I think the bridge closes during late afternoon on the Fourth of July. Call 3-1-1.

Sorry to break the bad news to you, but the fireworks have been moved to the west side this year. So I'm guessing that, yes, you can in fact ride your bike over the bridge on the 4th.

Sorry.

Never mind. Just google it. West side of manhattan bt. 20th and 50th st. That is an awful place to see firework from manhattan side. Chelsea piers, cruise ship docks and Intrepid will blocks most of the good view.

When it was on the east side, they let ppl onto the fdr highway. I wonder will they let ppl go onto the westside highway?

Also any1 know the greenway will be open to bikes on 4th of july or it will be completely close?
