Call for Changes in Wake of Cyclist's Death
As a result of the death of cyclist David Williams on Southern Avenue on Friday, his family has created an online petition asking for speedbumps and a bicycle lane with reflective borders along the length of Southern Avenue. I doubt speed bumps are possible, but bike lanes might be. I've ridden that stretch and some sort of improvement is needed, especially with the Metro station across the street.

The road is completely in DC, so Maryland would have nothing to do with it.
