I just wanted to post a quick note to thank everyone, and especially the women, who gave my 10 year old daughter words of encouragement as she completed her first metric century on her own bike. She's been on the back of the tandem for the last couple years with me completing centuries, but this year she wanted to do the metric on her new road bike. She did great and didn't want to hear any talk of mom coming to pick her up at the second rest stop. She definitely struggled with the wind on the last 20-some miles, but the everyone cheering her on as they rode past kept her motivated to the end!
