Bikes: Specialized Tarmac Expert, 2002 TREK 520, Schwinn Mesa WINTER BIKE, Huffy Rock Creek 29er, 1970s-era Ross ten speed. All my bikes are highly modified(except the Tarmac) yet functional, and generally look beat to ****. .

Hello Gump.

Are you looking to ride with someone regularly? Or looking for events? I only ask because the ADK/1000 island area is a very large area. That's a pretty big piece of the entire northern NY region. There's plenty of folks who ride in northern NY.

Again, welcome to the forums!

Looking for people who may want to ride on a regular basis or whenever the opportunity arises. I'm about 20 minutes southeast of Watertown but regularly ride to A-Bay, Sacketts, Star Lake etc. I know one of the shops in Watertown has a weeknight ride, which I have not yet participated.

There's quite a few riders around Watertown, Sacketts and Adams. Black River Adventurers is a pretty good hub for the cycling scene in that area. Todd knows everybody. Drop in there and ask around. They have a weekly ride.

Sacketts has the Spokeride annually in, I think, July. That's a good ride that lots of folks, both locals and from all around the upstate, show up to.

In the fall there's the Tour De Chaumont Bay ride. 25/50/100 miles. That's a beautiful ride all around the 1000 islands area.

There's several triathlons in the area that are popular with cyclists.

Ahh !, that narrows it down a bit. I was about to put you in touch with a friend that lives in Essex. That's in the ADK Park as well but 170 miles and 3-1/2 hrs. east.
