To elaborate on what zacster says, the transverse road entrances are:

Along Central Park West:
65 St
81 St
86 St
96 St

Along 5th Ave:
97 St
85 St
79 St
66 St

All other entrances lead to the loop, including the Sixth Ave entrance along Central Park South and the one at Columbus Circle.

TheRedWolf, when will you be taking a ride? Maybe some of us can take you around on a nice custom-made bike tour. I love touring visitors around town, especially on bike.

My lap time isn't really improving, but I'm not getting nearly as tired after doing just one lap. I was going to do 2 this evening but after riding 40 miles yesterday I decided to take it easy. Today's time was 19:40 for the 6.2 mile loop. It's pretty consistent around 20 minutes, plus or minus 20 seconds for just one loop.

Thanks- very nice to offer! I'm in NYC with my (non-cycling) family from Oct 12-16. Most the time is planned out to hit the typical tourist destinations but my plan was to hit CP on an early morning, probably Monday or Tuesday (Oct 14 or 15).

OK, feel free to email me, and we can make a date. I might be able to loan you a bike, too. What size do you ride? Email me at the address below.
