Visiting Rangeley, ME. Route ideas?
I'll be in Rangeley for a few days. I mapped out a 20 mile loop around Rangeley lake for the quick morning spin but I'm hoping to get out one of the days for something a little more substantial.
Not knowing the area, I came up with the following route by following what looks like main routes and roads. Thoughts/Tips from those that are familiar with the area?

Well, one road goes south, one northeast and one west. And that's about it for paved roads, thought they are all OK in terms of low traffic and so-so conditions with hit miss shoulders.
If it was me, I'd bring a cross or touring bike with tires that like dirt/gravel and explore those instead.
