Riding in Johnstown, PA?

My wife and I are going to be heading to Johnstown, PA for a social function of hers and I will have some time to get some riding in. Any recommendations on roads or routes to go out and ride on? Anything to watch out for?

If you like rail trails, there is the Ghost Town Trail a few miles north of Johnstown through Nanty Glo. I used to pass through there frequently years ago, and always hoped to be able to stop and ride that trail, but my scheduling never allowed for it.

I was in Johnstown this past weekend and was planning on doing the Ghost Town Trail but found out it was a little too far out of town. I found a local bike shop and asked for route recommendations and ended up going out on a route that they use for their group ride. I think it was route 925. I stayed on that for a few miles and then turned off onto Covered Bridge Road (had a very nice covered bridge) and stayed on that. It turned into a gravel muddy road and seemed like the never ending hill. The temperature wasn't more than 45-48 degrees at the time of the morning I went out riding. That and it started to rain which made for not stellar conditions. I got in a good and short ride before I turned back to my car due to the rain and cold. If I am ever out in the area and have more time, I'd like to explore the Ghost Town Trail.
