any good bike clubs in Fort Lee, NJ?
I live in Fort Lee and recently got a road bike. My ultimate goal is to compete in the duathlons. I'm a major bike rookie, so I'm hoping to find a bike club so I can learn how to ride properly. Does anyone know of good groups that go on rides during the weekends (and friendly to rookies?).

Here's two to contact. It is way too easy to find them these days. I just googled on "Bergen County NJ Bike Clubs" and these came up. You missed a 25 mile ride on June 2 that went through the town where I grew up - Dumont.

BTCNJ is a good club and does do a lot of rides around Fort Lee. It's by far the biggest club in the area, with about 1,700 members. I've been a member since 2008 and enjoy riding with them.

I'll have to look into that too, I just moved from manhattan to hoboken. Not many good roads in the area to ride on unless I go 7 miles north on river road.
