WHAT: 2012 Tour de Peninsula presented by Raleigh Bicycles and Talbott’s Cyclery, recreational bicycle ride
WHEN: Sunday, August 5, 2012, rides start at 7:00 am and 8:00 am, kids at 12:00 noon.
WHERE: Start/finish at Eucalyptus Picnic Area, Coyote Point Park, San Mateo, California.
WHY: Enjoy a day of cycling and outdoor fun with family and friends. Proceeds benefit San Mateo County Parks Foundation and Bicycle Sunday—car free biking on Cańada Road.

Anyone else annoyed that San mateo County Parks are raising money from bicyclists when bicycling facilities in San Mateo County Parks are so lousy? Bicycles are banned from almost all trails in San Mateo County Parks. In contrast, bicycles are allowed on a variety of trails in the Santa Clara County and Marin County park systems. Get with the program, San Mateo County, especially if you are asking for money from bicyclists.
